ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Pitambara legal associate with collaboration Human Right council of India organising  national conference on “Future of Virtual Digital Asset in India FVDAI, 2025”. As India emerges as a key player in the global digital economy, Virtual Digital Assets (VDAs)-including cryptocurrencies, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), and tokenized securities-are transforming the financial and technological landscape. These innovations bring immense opportunities for digital growth and inclusion but also pose complex legal, regulatory, and economic challenges.

With evolving taxation policies, regulatory frameworks, cross-border trade dynamics, cybersecurity threats, and the intricate interplay between technology and finance, there is a pressing need to critically examine the law and policy governing VDAs in India.

This research conference aims to serve as a platform for academicians, legal practitioners, scholars, and industry experts to deliberate on emerging issues, propose actionable policy insights, and foster interdisciplinary dialogue.

 

OBJECTIVES OF THE CONFERENCE

1. To explore the evolving legal and regulatory frameworks governing VDAs in India.

2. To assess the implications of VDAs on taxation, financial regulation, and economic governance.

3. To analyze judicial and policy responses to the challenges posed by cryptocurrencies, NFTS, and blockchain technology.

4. To encourage scholarly research on the intersection of law, technology, and digital finance.

5. To promote international dialogue on harmonizing India’s VDA policies with global regulatory trends.

All research papers presented at the conference will be published in a Special Issue of the ‘International Journal of Human Rights and Law’ (ISSN No. 3107-5827) Published by the Human Rights Council of India (Punjab & Haryana).

This Special Issue is dedicated exclusively to the theme “Future of Virtual Digital Assets in India, 2025: Legal, Regulatory and Economic Perspectives,” and will feature selected peer-reviewed papers from the conference. The publication aims to create a comprehensive repository of contemporary research on Virtual Digital Assets, fostering global dialogue on law, policy, and innovation in the digital economy.
