Disable Video: It’s typical behavior of users to pause or skip a video while viewing it. This annoying behavior can be disabled on YouTube for good in just a few steps. It’s a quick and easy way to get rid of annoying distractions and free up your PC.

Disable Video

Chrome Extension

The first step to disable video pausing in Firefox, IE, Safari, and Chrome is to add the Google Chrome extension. To learn how to add the attachment, go to the add-on section and click on Extensions. Once you have chosen an extension, click Add, then click Save. You will then see the Google Chrome extension has been there.

Browser Settings

The next step is to go into your Google Chrome browser settings and disable video and all of the locations that are available by default. Go to settings and then click on Use YouTube Premium Safe Mode under sections called Privacy and Security. It will prevent the YouTube extension from running in the background, so you can continue to watch YouTube videos uninterrupted. Note that this will not affect other software installed on your computer, such as MSN, Yahoo, etc…

By Add-on Menu

The third step is to click on the YouTube logo in your browser and then on the add-on menu. The add-on will take you to a page where you can click on Install Now. It will take you to the page where you can choose whether you want the new installation to be permanent or not. If you want it to be permanent, click on the Continue button. If you want it to be temporary, click on Remove

When prompted, click Add Extension. It will take you to a page where you will see a pop-up prompt. Click to open the dialog box. A window will appear, and the same YouTube extension will be under Extensions. It will also be in the following dialog box:

After clicking to add an extension, you will see the actual attachment is already there. The gray link that was when you connected to install the extension will be blue. To enable it to work, you will need to click on the link and then click on Continue. It will permanently mark the extension as having always been added to your computer. When you want to enable it again, click on Remove Now.

First, go to the chrome browser. Open up the chrome web store. Look for the YouTube icon. Right-click on it and choose Get Info. It will give you all the information you need to disable video pausing in YouTube in Chrome.

Click the Save Tab

Once you have clicked on the Get Info link, you will see the Save tab. Click on the button titled Remove now. When you are to restart your system, click to do so. That should get rid of the YouTube pauses that are in your browser.

How to disable Video paused while continue watching in Chrome – restarting your system is not a solution since the pausing effect is a part of YouTube’s advanced video features. Instead, there is an easier way.

By System Restore

There is a Windows method called System Restore.

How to disable Video in YouTube in Chrome by clicking Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. When the window appears, click on the “button” labeled “Safe Mode with Networking.” It will turn off your entire network and revert your PC to an earlier, more straightforward configuration. You will probably see the YouTube pause message again, but there will be no prompt to get to a safe mode this time.

Through Statusicator

The easiest way is to download and install an effective Add-on called Statusicator. It is an excellent, popular, and easy-to-install Windows utility that will prevent any further prompts on your PC for YouTube to resume playback. Download the free Add-on, and then install it. Open System Protection, click the link “Trustworthy File Manager,” and select the “trustworthy file manager” option to begin adding trusted files to your computer.

File Manager

When prompted, launch the Trustworthy File Manager, choose a trustworthy folder from the list, and drag the folder’s icons over to the appropriate places on your PC. It should permanently remove the video pause prompt that displays on your browser window. If this step doesn’t work or you want the disable Video to pause feature on your YouTube videos even more strongly, you can find a similar working Add-on by visiting the website referenced at the end of this article. The last resort is to close all Google Chrome browser windows while still in the chrome browser to prevent the pop-up from displaying.

By a different Extension

Another way to disable video in the YouTube player on Chrome is by using a different extension than the one used for YouTube itself. If you have already installed a separate YouTube application, you can easily disable video by using the Google Toolbar or the Google Chrome Menu. Selecting these commands will launch two different web browsers, allowing you to switch back and forth between the two and disable the YouTube player.

You are being Watched issue

There is one annoying problem that is related to YouTube disable video pausing. Many people experience the YouTube pause message saying “You are being watched” when they try to play a video. This message may show up for a minute or much longer, depending on how long you are watching. The problem appears because some people have uploaded their disable video to YouTube using a different extension than the one used on their web browser.

To stop the YouTube “you are being watched” message, you should first see if you have the latest version of YouTube installed and is working correctly. The easiest way to do this is to visit the YouTube website and click on the Update button. Once you have done that, you should see a Continue Watching button which you can click on. Clicking this button will return you to the YouTube home page and display a new “play now” button. Clicking this will show a new “play” button, and you can then click on that to return to the YouTube home page.
